On November 17th, Pack 93 is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE for the Green Valley Baptist Church Food Bank, a United Way Food Bank, which services Hoover related zip codes (36226, 35216, 35244, and 35023). This is a community service project for our boys that will help them understand the principle of giving and helping others less fortunate than themselves.

Brown grocery bags, donated by TARGET, will be given out to the boys for them to distribute to their friends and family members for donations. Some suggested items are unopened, non-perishable goods and personal hygiene products. The boys will pick up the items on Sunday, November 13th between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. and bring them to Green Valley on the 17th for counting and storage.

This year, more than in most years, there are a lot of people in need in our local community. I am hopefull that Pack 93 can help supply food for many families in our community.

Our Fall Campout is this Saturday and Sunday at DeSoto State Park!

There will be activities for the kids, skits and songs. 

We’ll also have a night-time hike followed by hot chocolate and smores by the campfire before bed.
